About

Check In Club was created by a team of Interactive Design students at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), developed across two courses within our diploma program throughout 2025–2026.

Our presentation at CapCon in April 2026 is the culmination of that work — and we're proud to be bringing Check In Club to industry for the first time. What started as a course project became something we genuinely believe in, and CapCon represents the moment we get to share it with the people whose opinions matter most to us professionally.

Below, you'll find a little more about the team behind it.

Amanda Kwong

Amanda Kwong

Amanda brought Check In Club to life visually. As the team's graphic designer, she developed the full brand identity — including the logo, colour palette, typography, and print materials — giving the product a cohesive, polished look and feel.

Maria Rose Mulhall

Maria Rose Mulhall

Maria grounded the project in user-centered thinking. As a UX/UI designer, she contributed to wireframing, facilitated user testing, and played a key role in crafting the overall design language that defines the Check In Club experience.

Ria Gamosa

Ria Gamosa

Ria turned design into reality. As the team's web developer, she built out the front-end of the Check In Club platform, bringing the landing pages and sign-up experience to life, with back-end functionality to be developed in future phases.

Robyn Paradis

Robyn Paradis

Robyn shaped both the experience and the process. As a UX/UI designer and the team's project manager, she led wireframing, coordinated user testing, and helped drive the overall design direction while keeping the project on track from start to finish.
